Lg washer door hinge problem. I am moving to a new condo. If you look at the door the right side is much tighter than the left side. Again if i push the hinge side in the leak stops but the tension of the hinge pushes the door away from the seal. A safety switch that detects whether the washer door is closed a latch and a locking mechanism.
As the washer is in operation it begins to leak and the only way to stop it is by pushing in the left side of the door hinge side. If the door lock is defective the washer door will not latch properly. Answered by anonymous 3 years ago. The hinge is pushing the door away from the seal causing the leak.
If any of these components stops working when you have the door open the door won t lock. So i do not know how the door swings on the washer that is there now. I am not sure i understand the question but if i have a preference i would like for it to swing to the right as you face the machine. Replace the washer door hinge.
Once the washer door is closed the washer can begin operating.
